There isn’t a better way to experience Kos and explore its natural beauty than by getting out and about on your own feet. Hiking on our island is a feast for the senses. Feel the ocean breeze and hear the goat bells in the mountains. Smell the scent of wild herbs and enjoy Aegean views.

We will take you in the footsteps of Hippocrates, Greek Philosopher and Father of Medicine, who was born on our island of Kos. We will show you the Hippocrates museum, the Asklepion and much more of the beauty of Kos.
Hippocrates: “Walking is man’s best medicine.”

The hiking weeks are tailored for you to recharge. The beautiful beaches of Kos, delicious Greek food, 3 yoga sessions, a wonderful massage and the various possibilities for cycling and swimming will make your hiking holiday complete. At one of the evenings we will take you to Therma, This is a natural hot spring, which the Greeks themselves use to relax and enjoy.

Accommodation in Kos

The holidays take place in Greece, on the beautiful island of Kos. Our Zenzoí lifestyle hotel is a 5-minute walk to the clear blue Aegean sea, where you can swim and relax on the sandy beach.

From here you have a beautiful view and you can see the stunning sunset. The large pool invites you for a swim to start the day or to freshen up after a sunny day.

We are about 1,5 km from the center of Kos town. In the surroundings you’ll find the real Greek tavernas, where you can enjoy lunch in a local atmosphere and the wonderful hospitality of the Greeks.

The hikes take around three to four hours including breaks. If you have a basic fitness level and no serious knee injuries, you will be able to join on these hikes.

Monday: We will visit the Hippocrates museum, learning about his ideas. Followed by a hike into Tsoukalaria Forest where we will enjoy the most stunning views.

Tuesday: We take you on a hike through the mountains and we will end our route in Therma, The natural hot springs, which the Greeks themselves use to relax. While the sun goes down and the stars come out, it is wonderful to float in the warm water.

Asklepion was the place where healers were curing their patients and teaching others the art of healing. Hippocrates was taught and practised medicine in Asklepion on Kos. After our visit we hike up the bed of the Zeoula river, enjoying an en-route picnic.

Saturday: You start the morning with a yoga session at the beach. In the afternoon you will walk all the way up to Mount Dikeos and the beautiful village Zia from where you will enjoy a stunning sunset. Back at the hotel for a final dinner with your new friends.
