An annual festival that combines a choice of carefully planned walking routes, with a host of included local activities

Exclusive to Frontier Holidays, one of the advertisers on WalkingHolidayInfo, this highly popular festival combines a choice of carefully planned walking routes, with a host of included local activities.

The festival is all set in one of Spain’s most beautiful regions, close to Sierra de las Nieves Nature Park. It’s hosted in the white-mountain village of El Burgo and takes place between February 24th – March 4th 2013. There are only a few places left, so hurry if you want to join!

A range of exciting activities

Frontier Holidays have gone to great lengths to ensure that the festival is packed with a range of exciting activities that will appeal to all interests and provide a unique insight into Andalucian culture and local traditions.

For example, you can visit a local vineyard and take a class in wine-tasting, or help prepare traditional dishes and tapas; improve your Spanish, or spend the day in the company of a professional naturalist and photographer snapping local flora and fauna in their natural habitat. In the evening, take part in the local fiestas and carnivals and enjoy the informative and informal talks from historians, writers, astronomers and botanists.

Clients stay in a delightful traditional White Village hotel, dine in company with good food and wine in a host of local eateries.

Walking Holiday Info

Dave is one of the founders of Walking Holiday Info. More than 10 years ago, he saw a real niche, a platform where small independent walking holiday companies can present their holidays in one place. At that time, he was organizing walking holidays himself and experienced how difficult it can be for small businesses to have a voice and to be noticed. Dave is the webmaster at Walking Holiday Info, and enjoys hitting the trails in the surrounding countryside in his free time.
