This walking holiday offers a perfect combination of walking and culture. You will discover the region on foot, by boats, busses and trains.
The breathtaking scenery of the Austrian Salzkammergut area is one of the special treasures of this world. Because of the landscape, the Hallstatt region was recognized as a UNESCO Heritage site for outstanding natural and cultural attractions. This walking tour leads you to hidden sights only accessible by foot.

At Lake Wolfgangsee we will book in the villages St. Gilgen, Abersee, Strobl, or St. Wolfgang. The first choice will be Abersee and then St. Wolfgang. Abersee is quiet and perfect for the tour. St. Wolfgang is quite busy and the largest village on the Lake. In Bad Ischl, you will have a rest day and we recommend visiting the “emperor villa”, the spa with hot saltwater or the famous pastry shop “Zauner”. You also will stay in Bad Goisern, starting village of the World Heritage Site of Hallstatt. If we don’t get a hotel in Bad Goisern, you will stay in Hallstatt. There are no changes on the tours, only one extra bus transfer.
